AP Renewables Inc. (APRI), the geothermal arm of Aboitiz Renewables, Inc., together with Brgy. Captain Gerry Punzalan, barangay officers, and Barangay Health Workers of Brgy. San Felix, inaugurated its newly improved health center on March 31, 2025.

The upgraded facility is now equipped with new medical and office equipment, medicines and supplies – made possible through a combined funding from Aboitiz Foundation Inc. and Barangay San Felix’s share in the Energy Regulation Fund 1-94.
The health center is expected to reach around 7,334 residents, targeting the most vulnerable sectors such as pregnant women, senior citizens, and children. The funding enabled the procurement of new medical equipment and supplies like the examination bed, oxygen tank with regulator, weighing scale for adult and infant, glucometer, test strips, and lancets, including maintenance medicines for high blood pressure, diabetes, and other over-the-counter drugs for cough, fever, and colds. Also part of the donation is the 2HP split-type aircon, sofa, breastfeeding chair, and office chairs.

APRI MakBan Vice President for Facility Antonio B. Layog Jr. imparted during his welcome speech:
Ang mga proyektong tulad nito, kung saan mina-maximize natin ang paggamit ng pondo mula sa inyong ER 1-94 at aming mga CSR initiatives, ay isang patunay ng ating matibay na samahan at pagtutulungan.
This remarks from APRI Vice President was immediately reciprocated by the kind words coming from San Felix Barangay Captain, Hon. Gerry Punzalan.
Barangay Health Worker Vice President Jhoy Buban also shared that the marginalized sector will be given priority in accessing quality medical services.
The Adopt-A-Health Center is one of APRI’s flagship health projects that aims to improve the barangay health center facilities by donating medicine and medical equipment. Since its implementation in 2020, APRI has already adopted 14 barangays across Tiwi and MakBan sites, and is expected to add three more health centers by April this year.
