Aboitiz Future Leaders is the college scholarship program of Aboitiz Foundation and a gateway to a brighter future for young, talented individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential. Aside from covering tuition fees, the scholarship offers personal and professional growth opportunities to help our scholars become future leaders.
Last August 26, we officially welcomed 19 new scholars into the Aboitiz Foundation family with the signing of our memorandum of agreement and we are excited to support them as they begin their journey with us.
“Investing in the youth is crucial to shaping a better future for our country. Through the Aboitiz Future Leaders Program, we empower the next generation to become trailblazers, innovators and change makers,” said Ginggay Hontiveros-Malvar, Aboitiz Foundation’s President.
Reflecting on the Selection Process
The road to selecting these scholars was anything but easy. With 10,251 applicants vying for a spot in the program, our team faced the difficult task of narrowing down the pool to 19 individuals. It was a rigorous process that involved careful evaluation of each applicant’s academic achievements, leadership qualities, and potential to make a significant impact in their communities.
“Narrowing down the candidates is not easy, especially with so many exceptional candidates to consider. However, this challenge fueled our excitement about the incredible potential these scholars possess. The journey ahead is as promising as their talents,” added Jowelle Ann Cruz, Aboitiz Foundation’s Impact Lead for Future Leaders.
Supporting Our Future Leaders
Throughout the selection process, we were inspired by the scholars’ deep dedication to the country and their passion for making a difference. Each candidate’s dreams and goals were not just about personal success but focused on contributing to society and addressing the challenges our nation faces.
These future leaders have a clear vision of how they can give back, whether through innovation in their fields or by leading community initiatives. Their determination to create positive change reaffirmed our belief in the potential of today’s youth.
