At Aboitiz Land, building communities means more than just constructing homes and commercial spaces, it’s about uplifting lives and creating opportunities. That commitment was on full display as Aboitiz Land and Aboitiz Foundation partnered with TESDA and the local government of San Juan, Batangas to launch the Masonry and Construction Skills Program.
This CSR initiative, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MOU), aims to provide TESDA-accredited training in masonry and construction skills to local residents followed by real job opportunities within Aboitiz Land developments.
And in San Juan, this opportunity hits close to home. Seafront Residences, Aboitiz Land’s 43-hectare beachside community located in Barangay Calubcub II in San Juan, Batangas.
“This is inclusive growth in motion—where progress uplifts not just Aboitiz Land communities, but everyone around us,” said Farrah Nina Mayol, Senior Assistant Vice President for Customer and Reputation Management at Aboitiz Land. “Through this initiative, we aim to provide local residents in our host communities with practical skills in masonry and construction painting, helping them become part of the growing workforce that brings our developments to life.”

The training program brings together the strengths of four partners: TESDA Regional Training Center CALABARZON provides technical education and certification; San Juan LGU helps identify qualified beneficiaries; and Aboitiz Land and Aboitiz Foundation fund the program and offer employment opportunities upon completion.
For the people of San Juan, this means access to meaningful, dignified work with potential assignments across various Aboitiz Land projects.
Mayor Ildebrando “Beebong” Salud of San Juan welcomed the partnership, seeing it as a crucial step in advancing local employment and economic resilience. For many, it’s a way to gain employable skills without leaving their hometown.
The first batch of trainees is expected to begin their courses in the coming months, with job placements to follow shortly after.
This MOU signing ceremony is part of Aboitiz Land’s continuing mission of empowering communities through upskilling and inclusive employment opportunities, much like Elevate AIDA, a program that empowers underprivileged Filipino women by equipping them with digital skills, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and data annotation.
From Seafront Residences to the country’s emerging economic estates, Aboitiz Land is taking deliberate steps toward its mission of becoming the housing solutions provider for economic estates—anchoring communities within industrial townships like LIMA Estate and TARI Estate. Through initiatives like the Masonry and Construction Skills Program, the company not only builds homes, but also empowers people creating a pipeline of skilled workers who will help bring these communities to life and contribute to the nation’s progress in a meaningful, sustainable way.
